Friends Of Camp Salmen Nature Park, Inc. Donations
Thank you for visiting the Friends Of Camp Salmen Nature Park. Inc. Donation Page. The Friends of Camp Salmen Nature Park are pursuing several activities this year and seeking both volunteer and/ or financial support.
Friends of Camp Salmen Nature Park Inc. is a non-profit 501 C 3 organization; funds donated are Tax Deductible. Any financial considerations can be made using one of the below Selections:
The Friends lend their support to Camp Salmen Nature Park and the various activities taking place at the Park. We assist Camp Salmen by adding value to the facilities, such as providing water to special events, information tables, and other enhancements which add to the enjoyment of the Park by the different organizations and visitors using the Park.
Several projects are ongoing and others are in various stages of completion. We are seeking roof repair funding for the Nature Park's Historical Landmark commonly known as Salmen Lodge, with documentation back to circa 1830. French, Native Americans, and other nationalities traded here with a ferry crossing Bayou Liberty nearby. The Salmen Lodge desperately needs repairs, especially to the roof. Let us try to save it before we lose this valuable historical treasure.
Friends of Camp Salmen Nature Park has its own website promoting Camp Salmen Nature Park. It contains productive information for the online visitor and helps in setting expectations when the online visitor visits the Park itself. The establishment and updating of this website is done on a volunteer basis. There are expenses in having this website online, such as the monthly Domain Hosting and related charges and occasionally buying software to support and improve the website for the visitor’s visit. Presently this is funded solely by the webmaster. Financial assistance for maintaining and improving this website is always greatly appreciated.
There is a WiFi proposal in the process of being approved. It is planned to have WiFi available for the public to use in the Park. The planned WiFi will be located at the Main Pavilion and at the Park’s Administration Office. If the demand for WiFi service is sufficient to keep it available additional donation funding will be pursued. WiFi service may be funded by several ways, such as donations, private or corporate sponsorships, or possibly grants. The initial 1st year Budget for this WiFi is $1,000 for both WiFi service and electronic equipment.
